The planted-late summer garden is finally starting to produce some good eats! There are many cucumbers- green, golden, lemon, and pickling- a few Roma tomatoes, and MANY cherry tomatoes, jalepeno peppers, a few shallots, and bunches and bunches of basil and mint. Delicious salads, jars of pickles, mint kombucha, and garden scrambled eggs are staples on this homestead this time of year. Delicious.

This weekend, I hope to get some Fall veggies started indoors so they will be ready for planting late next month. I have seeds for a variety of pumpkins and winter squash, cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, and collard greens to start. I have seeds to also plant some chrysanthemums and marigolds to help protect the harvest from pests, along with sage, thyme, and oregano.
